How to create an interrupted numbered list for typesetting

Use the points or newpnts package to create a numbered list interrupted by an unnumbered
paragraph:
- Add the points or newpnts package to your document.
- Place the insertion point where you want the numbered list to begin.
- Enter an encapsulated TeX field.
- In the entry area, type \setcounter{enumi}{x}\RESUME
where x is a value one less than the
starting number you want.
The command is case-sensitive.
- Choose OK.
- Begin entering the numbered list.
- Enter the unnumbered paragraph that interrupts the list.
- At the end of the unnumbered paragraph, enter an encapsulated TeX field.
- In the entry area, type \RESUME and choose
OK.
- Complete the list.
