Document 591 Importing and typesetting Adobe Illustrator JPG graphicsVersion: 3.x, 4.x, 5.x - Scientific WorkPlace, Scientific Word, & Scientific Notebook ProblemJPG graphics created using Adobe Illustrator don't import properly to SWP, SW, or SNB documents, nor do they typeset correctly in SWP or SW. The background color of the graphics is green. ExplanationBecause the program's graphics import filters aren't compatible with all Adobe Illustrator formats, JPG graphics that have been created with Adobe Illustrator don't always import properly. SolutionOpen and save the JPG graphics in a program other than Adobe Illustrator, and then reimport them into your document. Programs that we have used successfully to create JPG graphics for use with SWP, SW, and SNB include Paint Shop Pro, ACDSee, and, IrfanView. Note These programs are listed here for your convenience and not as an endorsement. See also Last revised 04/26/06 This document was created with Scientific WorkPlace. |
