Version: 3.x - Scientific WorkPlace & Scientific Word
You can print a double-sided LaTeX document on an HP LaserJet 4+ printer by
first printing the odd-numbered pages, then reinserting those pages into the
printer and printing the even-numbered pages in reverse order. Here's how to
do it:
-
Print the odd-numbered pages in numerical order:
-
From the Typeset menu, choose
Print.
-
In the Print Range area of the dialog, check
Pages.
-
In the From area, enter
1.
-
In the Step area, enter
2.
-
Choose OK. The odd-numbered pages will print in
numerical order.
-
Reinsert the pages into the printer so that the printer will print on the back
of the pages.
-
Change the Expert Settings for typesetting:
-
From the Typeset menu, choose
Expert Settings.
-
Choose the Print Driver Settings tab.
-
Choose Add/Modify.
-
In the Values of Optional Macros area, find
%r: if reverse order and change b
to -b.
-
Find %r: if normal order and delete the
contents.
-
Choose OK.
-
Choose OK to return to the document.
-
Print the even-numbered pages in reverse order:
-
From the Typeset menu, choose
Print.
-
In the Print Range area of the dialog, check
Pages.
-
In the From area, enter
2.
-
In the Step area, enter
2.
-
Check the box for Print in Reverse Order.
-
Choose OK. The even-numbered pages will print in
reverse order.
