Saving hard drive space

Version: 3.0 - Scientific WorkPlace & Scientific Notebook

If you already have a working installation of Maple VR4, you can save a little space on your hard drive.

First, on the Files tab sheet in Tools/User Setup, set the new path to your existing Maple library (the Maple.lib file, which is typically in the lib subdirectory of your Maple directory). Also, on the Maple Engine tab sheet in Tools/User Setup, make sure the Maple engine is turned on.

After you have verified that the above procedure works, you can delete the Maple directory that's created as part of the SWP installation process.
